| Guest Houses: The 3 Sasak-Style guest houses in the Hari Puri Estate are situated behind the main villa. Far enough away to be private, or alternatively to provide extra accommodation for friends and family. The houses are built in the local “lumbung” or rice-barn style, comprising berugak for relaxing on downstairs, and bedroom upstairs. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a single bed, sleeping 2 adults and 1 child. (A travel cot is available if required). Chill out in a hammock, listen to the Lombok geckos, and sip an icy bintang! (Indonesia’s fantastic lager). The lumbungs can be rented out separately or rented with the villa at additional cost. |

| Activities: Snorkel off our beach and be amazed by the diversity of marine life. Turtles, reef sharks, rays, moray eels, lion and scorpion fish proliferate. At the right time of year, spot a manta or a school of eagle rays! Trawangan is a diver’s paradise, with a number of well-established dive operators situated a 5 to 10 minute walk from the villa. The Surf is great just opposite Hari Puri with impressive waves. If diving and snorkelling are not your thing, spend a day playing golf on the beautiful 18-hole Kosaido course in Lombok, take a trip around the island on a cidomo, (pony & cart), try horse-riding with lots of beautiful horses to choose from at the nearby stables. Or go for a cycle or simply soak up the sun on the beach with a good book. Excursions into Lombok are easily arranged on the island. For the truly adventurous, and fit, try climbing Mount Rinjani - which towers an impressive 3,500 metres. This majestic volcano takes a minimum of 3 days to scale and is a serious climb, not for the faint-hearted! If you like to take it easy take a glass bottomed boat and visit Gili Meno. The fresh crab & tomato soup at one of Meno’s beach restaurants is out of this world! And if you have kids, a visit to Gili Meno’s bird park is a must. Stop on the way back to go snorkelling on Meno Wall. A visit to Gili Air, a very quiet island, is also great for a picnic. |

| About the island: Gili Trawangan, the largest of the three Gili islands, is situated off the north-west Coast of Lombok, a few degrees from the famous Wallace line which runs through the Lombok Straits - the sea dividing the islands of Bali & Lombok. The island itself has a population of roughly 1000 people. The sea around Trawangan is unspoilt and boasts a healthy marine life. Due to the abundance of marine life, Trawangan is a divers’ destination: numerous dive businesses and local shops dot the “commercial strip” - an area of about 800 metres in length on the east of the island. Also, along this partially cobbled track are restaurants which include Japanese (fresh sushi from Bali!), a delicatessen, an internet cafe, an Irish Bar, and numerous restaurants where diners sit on mountains of cushions on “berugaks” overlooking the ocean and the formidable Mount Rinjani, Lombok’s famous volcano. Transport on the island is either by foot, bicycle, horseback or “cidomo” (pony & cart“). |

Upon arrival at Mataram, we can arrange a pick up to take you to Teluk Kodek, (40 minutes drive) the nearest point to Trawangan, and then whizz you over via speedboat - a 10 minute ride. Your bags will then be piled high onto a cidomo and trotted 2 minutes down the sandy track to the villa where our staff will be pleased to welcome you. From Bali: Merpati, the local Indonesian carrier flies 3 to 4 times daily from Bali to Lombok. Check out the schedule by logging onto www.merpati.co.id. Lion Air - www.lionair.co.id and GT Air also provide flights from selected destinations in Indonesia. From Australia: Flights to Bali, Singapore or Jakarta and then onto Lombok. |
